Economic inequality, unfair transactional practices, and declining market trust indicate a weakening of the ethical dimension in contemporary economic activities. This condition highlights the urgent need to strengthen value-based principles of justice, particularly from the perspective of Islamic economics. This study aims to analyze the concepts of Al-Kail and Al-Mizan as ethical principles of justice in contemporary Islamic economics and to examine their relevance in addressing modern economic problems. The research employs a library research method with a qualitative-conceptual approach, utilizing primary data sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and the works of prominent Islamic economic scholars, as well as secondary data from academic books and peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. Data analysis is conducted through content analysis and conceptual analysis using the framework of Islamic economic justice theory and maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The findings reveal that Al-Kail and Al-Mizan function not merely as technical rules of transaction but as preventive, systemic, and transformative ethical principles that promote market integrity, protect property rights, and support social stability.
